Warren’s Vortex is a quirky, heart-warming time-travel comedy in six half-hour parts that screened on TVNZ2 in late 2025 and is currently available on TVNZ+. It tells the story of everyman Warren Harrison who’s kept a trans-dimensional vortex hidden in his shed for eighteen years. But when his daughter Lucy finds it on her eighteenth birthday and falls into it, Warren is forced to dive into it for the first time and rescue her. So begins a Father/Daughter journey to parallel realities; mad versions of their suburb where they are forced to battle everything from sentient refrigerators, to evil drones, estate agent robots and mobile phone zombies, each time hoping they’ll find home.
